Corbels

In architectural design, a corbel is a piece of stone, wood or other load-bearing material jutting out of a wall. A piece of wooden timber projecting in the same way was called a tassel. The construction technique of corbeling, where rows of corbels deeply keyed inside a wall support a projecting wall or parapet, has been used since ancient times in home construction for both interior and exterior applications.
Corbels come in many different decorative styles and designs ranging from plain to very ornate. Decor Mouldings carries a complete line of polyurethane and wood corbels for any type of application which are both easy to install and maintain.
